Aurora coolant leak
Hello, I have a 1998 Olds Aurora. It started leaking on the water pump cover and I tightened the bolts and it stopped leaking. Is this a water pump problem or could I just take the cover off and reseal it if it starts leaking again? It does not heat up and runs normal.

Re: Aurora coolant leak
There is a weep hole built into the water pump unit. It it's pouring out that little hole at the bottom, your seals are likely shot. If it was just leaking past the perimeter or something, you should be fine with tightening the bolts like you did.
