Squeal when accellerating fast during shift
I have a 1996 Sable. When I accellerate fast from a stop and it shifts from first into second I hear a squeal noise in the engine. Could this be the transmission or is it just the fan belt slipping?

its the serpentine belt slipping (sables have electric fans)
