2004 Acura TL manual vs. 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe Manual
I am soon going to purchase a car and the TL and G35 Coupe were the two cars i narrowed down. I know that the TL has a more luxurious interior, but the G35 has more power and a RWD. I also heard that the TL has a problem with the torque steering and some minor problems most new cars face. And I have also heard that a G35's ride is uncomfortable. They both are around the same price, however, the TL has more standard equipment than the G35. Please help me decide on which one to purchase.

Re: 2004 Acura TL manual vs. 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe Manual
wow, tough choice. i love everything about the new TL cept for one thing and you can probably guess it, its drivetrain layout. if it were RWD or AWD, it'd be an easy choice but i have to think about whether the rest of the car can make up for this shortcoming. and yes it's a shortcoming for the TL considering the other cars it's up against. i got to drive one, but didn't get a chance to get on it so i didnt' get to experience this torque steer that plagues it. other than that it's a very impressive car. but i'll have to go with the G35 coupe. it's one of my favorite cars. had you asked to compare the TL with the G35 sedan, i'd probably vote for the TL, but since it's the coupe, i'll take the infiniti.

rwd and couple is a big plus in my book. i like the tl a lot, but i just personally like the g35 more. plus, the g35 is a luxury 350z, can't go wrong with that.

Hard choice, but i'd vote the G35. Cant go wrong with a RWD. I would also have a lot more modding capabilities, if you wanna mod it, and in my opinion the interior is nice, and the exterior is just pimp. With the TL you get more practicality and more room. It has good acceleration and looks nice, but the handling is compromised as it is a FWD, but you cant go wrong with eaither cars. Anyways good luck.

If you want a sportier car, get the G35 coupe, if you want a family car, get the G35 sedan...
If you want an awesome car however, get a 3-series |

Re: 2004 Acura TL manual vs. 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe Manual
The only 3-Series worth buying is an M3 if you ask me. After owning an M Roadster, I think moving on to a G35 was a great choice for me. I had nothing but problems, and it cost an arm and a leg to repair. This was while I was able to go to Germany itself, to get the repairs done. I still love BMW's though. I just dont like the way the newer models are beginning to look at all.

Yes freakonaleash, i am bad with the Three series, just as you are bad with the 300zx, but I honestly dont see a problem with that. Both are great cars. There are worse things to be addicted to...
The G35 is great, I just dont think it handles like a 3-series. And I might be wrong about this, but I personally haven't seen a huge aftermarket focusing on the G35, and I know as a fact there is a pretty big one for the 3-series. |

I am gonna go against the grain and suggest the tl... I personally think that if you don't like the way the g35 rides then you are going to get sick of that car very fast. torque steer can be a problem but doesn't it only happen when you try to fly off the line? I also was told that you can minimize torque steer if you are strong enough the force the wheel straight when you come off the line. I would definately say get the tl, but then again I am a huge rsx fan so im pretty damn biased

that doesn't eliminate nor does it even minimize torque steer, it's still there regardless of how strong you are or how much your able to keep the wheel straight. you're probably talking about correcting torque steer, but not minimizing it.but you right, in normal everyday driving conditions, the torque steer shouldn't be an issue. but honda didnt' put 270hp under the hood thinking that no one will ever get on the car. honda usually thinks ahead but i say this time around they're somewhat behind. i still like the new TL's and would love to have one. but between it and the G35 coupe, i have to go with the G35 |

I am sorry you are right I picked the wrong word for what I was trying explain. What I don't understand is why they (Acura) didn't wait and put the TL on the new RL rear wheel drive platform, it would have made the TL all- around better |
