AUGH! Chick needs help! Which keyless remote for a 98 Grand Prix GTP??

Hey peeps. I have a question for you. I have a 1998 Grand Prix GTP. I also have 2 keyless remotes for it (different models of course). One has the horn button and the other doesn't. I can program them both. The only difference is the one with the horn button (10246215)..well, after programming it, I can lock/unlock doors, & pop my trunk, but the horn doesn't respond. I'm not sure if that's because it's the wrong model for my car or a defect in the remote. Any ideas?

Do you just press it, or have you tried holding it down? There's always room for defects though. Everything has a chance of breaking at some point, new or old.

My car has an aftermarket keyless entry, lots better than the stock alarm. I have my police siren alarm, it works well.

If you can't get it to work, then I guess your just gonna not be able to set off your alarm, lol.

I can reprogram the remote without a problem, but the panic/horn button just never seems to work. I wasn't sure if anyone knew how I could find out if this was the right remote for my car w/o going to the dealership.

Hi,
I had the same prob w/ my 97 GTP. The best thing to do is call the dealership and ask them for a part # for your remote. The part # is on the back of the remote. If they match up, then your ok if not, I have the instructions to reprogram the remotes.
