Kinda Sad today HP rating per Gtech Pro

Well I did a Hp test today on my D16Z6. I did it 5 times to make sure. Highest I got was 84 hp to the wheels and car weighs 2500 with me and speaker box. I dont know how accurate this focken POS Gtech meter is but thats what I got. Im so unhappy with the stock motors Numbers. But it will soon be fixed. And yes Its GTECH

Re: Kinda Sad today HP rating per Gtech Pro

the only way to get accurate numbers is to put in accurate numbers, go weigh your car.

Re: Kinda Sad today HP rating per Gtech Pro

Soounds about right to me. The stock motor only puts 108 to the crank, so what are you really expecting to be putting to the wheels? We all know that drivetrain sucks up close to 10-15% of horsepower.

Re: Kinda Sad today HP rating per Gtech Pro

--100% stock: 94whp
--Cold Air Intake: 99whp $50
--OBX SS header: 107whp $120

krustindumm Hmm your new so Ill go easy. I did weigh the car (CLICK HERE FOR THE POST) and I have a d16z6 in it so your numbers are useless and your wheel HP numbers are not accurate Cause SAE dont test with COLD AIR and/or OBX SS HEADER.

Re: Kinda Sad today HP rating per Gtech Pro

lol if that is true that means there is like a 30% loss...125 at the crank to 84 at the wheels. I'm thinkin it may be a lil off, but could be good to compare with how much you gain, not exactly what you are putting down.

I'm not new, I was Autocratic_1st_Gen. I just thought you might like to compare, since your car is most likly more powerfull then mine by 10-15hp (it was rated so from the factory anyway).

By SS I meant Stainless Steel, and it is a 4-2-1 design.

Here is how I tested, I found a flat road, and ran 8 runs, 4 one way, 4 the other, threw 3rd gear. I threw out the high and low, averaged the rest, and then ran SAE corrections for humidity and ambiant temperature. I dont understand what you mean by "SAE dont test with COLD AIR".

Shit, I didn't notice he had a z6 in his car. But yeah you really do get 10-15% loss from the trans, and even more in autos.

Yeah I know u lose some through the trans...but I doubt he's losing over 30%...his car is a 5speed by the way.
