Control Buttons Running Hot

I bought a 1999 Intrigue about two months ago, and I've noticed that when the interior gauges and buttons are illuminated, they get very warm to the touch. This includes the stereo, HVAC, and steering wheel mounted buttons. Is this a problem? Any suggestions on causation or fixes?

Thanks

Re: Control Buttons Running Hot

Well I'll be danged. I just noticed my buttons were hot and remembered seeing a post about it. Surprised noone else has commented.

I also bought my '99 3.5 GX a few months ago. Hopefully the hot buttons is normal (just the lights maybe?). I'd only driven a couple miles when I noticed tonight.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for confirming the problem. I was beginning to think I was nuts. It does not seem like a big issue, but I want to make sure it's not a problem with overloaded circuits or bulbs that are too big/too close. I don't need a fire or electrical failure while I'm driving down the interstate.

Please check the date of the thread and last posts before responding and resurrecting old threads. This one is at least 2 1/2 years years old. Thread closed.
