1998 528i ??battery Problem??

My 1998 528i - after sitting for a week i went to start it and it would not start. I charged the battery for a bit and then went to start it and this time the dash lites came on but all it did was make a clicking noise when i turned the key. Tried it a few times and then nothing.. anyone have any ideas.

thanks scott

I am about to do the same thing with my 97 528i. I took my BMW to the dealer after it made some weird electrical problem symptoms. The dealer hooked it up to the computer and found nothing. They recharged the battery, and it has not shown me any sign of trouble. A friend recomended I replace the battery with a Diehard International ($100). I will do it today without any reservation. First, I have to earn the $100

Yeah, the BMW buisiness radios no longer have the coded anti-theft, because they work only on( or when connected to ) the cars k-bus. I don't know if they are coded to the individual vehicle, but no code needed after a loss of power.
