Just want to thank everyone for input on this forum. I just basically read on here and don't participate too much. I have a '96 Windstar LX with 103,000 and basically no problems. I read time and time again about the various gasket issues and felt I better address this now. I have a good friend whose a mechanic and he replaced head, intake, timing, oil pan gskts, went over valve seals and threw on plug wires . All for a mere $700.00 and that includes the parts!! Almost forgot....cleaned out some EGR tube. Well let me tell ya my Winney is running like a raped ape !!
So I must say thanks again. I believe she is very road worthy. I typically keep up on everything including the trans. service so hopefully I'm covered. Thanks again all for the heads up.
