busted shock.

My shocks on the driver side shot straight up through my hood!
I replaced it with a new factory one..
It was fine for awhile,but two weeks later it did the same thing.
I'm not sure if this has ever happened to anyone else.
But if anyone has an idea of what's going on. i could use some help/answers. Thanks..

WTF!!!! your shocks went straight through your hooooood? how the hell did that happen. oki, did u lower your vehicle or diid any suspension work to it? if u did then you probably didnt install all the parts back into the shock assembly. the only way i see your shocks shooting through your hood is that you forgot to install one of the washers that go on the strut.
go buy yourself a helms manual for your car (autozone sells em). there should be a picture of all the components of the shocks in there. or just go online and search for a pciture of a shock and all it's componets...i.e. bumpstop, bumpstop washer, dust cover, etc...
disassemble your shocks and make sure that all the componets are installed on your shock. most likely ur missing a washer. but thats my suggestion.

yeah..i got some coilovers..
the first time it happened with the stock shock, i saw that one of the washers broke into three pieces..
i installed everything that came with the new shock..i didn't forget any of original components either..
couple days later..the damn shock popped up again..
i haven't had the chance to take it apart to see wassup yet..but yeah..thanks for the help man..
