have 99 tahoe - wrote in about six months ago about coolant going down but no visable leak - smell of coolant in air (outside vehicle) after shutdown of vehicle - received a number of good suggestions on this web site - however I decided to add a coolant leak fix-it because I figured it was cheaper than the $500-400 dealership price or busting my knuckles changing the gasket. Besides I could add a lot of coolant for $500. I just want to report that 6 months & 5000 miles later I have no smell or disappearing coolant!!
I would sure try this first! Tom |
