rear speakers/deck removal in 97 civic 4 dr
hey. I just bought a pair of 6x9 sony xplods for my 1997 honda civic ex 4 dr sedan. just wondering how to go about removing my old factory speakers. Do I have to remove the whole rear panel? I tried just taking off the grill and it worked but it was too hard to get at the screws for the speaker. Any help would be appreciated. Also if I do have to remove the rear panel, how do I go about doing that? Thanks

Yes to replace the stock Speakers you need to remove the rear deck pannel, There are some plastic clips that need to be pinched as you push them upward they are located in the trunk, you also need to unplug the 3rd brake light "good time to clean the back window once you take the pannel out ........
