Re: power cap

You should get rid of the cap, they are useless IMO

they seem to help for some car/amp combos ...... especially amps with very unregulated power supplies.

As for your question ..... I will make a comparison statement and let you decide.

I have a light car ..... only 1800 lbs, and I have this 150 HP motor. I think it's too powerful, maybe I should just put a 100 HP motor in it

Re: power cap

I was wondering what kind of 1 farad cap is the best...I ordered my 1501D MTX amp last night, and have the 2 15" 8000s as you know already...and its in my Neon with a stock alternator, but I do plan to get a yellowtop sometime and change the wiring. Are stinger batteries just as good as Optimas? I would probably get a Stinger capacitor too, but I was wondering if the off-brand capacitors suck like the subs and amps do too. I like how the Kole Audio capacitor looks, thats why I was pondering that. They dont seem like they could be built less quality.

Re: power cap

My opinion is a deep cycle battery is a deep cycle.

Re: power cap

Yea...kinda thought there was too much hype for Optimas. What about the capacitor question though?

for the caps ..... lightning audio generally has the lowest ESR. Do NOT get a cap with a voltmeter on the top.

sometimes they work, sometimes they don't ... they are often an expensive band-aid.
