axle seals

I got my passenger axle replace about a year and a half ago, i had to take it back 2 times because the axle seal kept leaking after the second time i took it back it seemed to be fine this was 5000 miles or so ago, i had the car parked all winter, now i changed the oil and could see that it had been leaking, and the tranny was 3/4 of a quart low, i have the isuzu 5 speed, and it's a 98, any idea what could be wrong would be great, since the tranny guy said no warranty because it's been over a year and a half, ( we exchanged some severe words over this issue), new axle, new seal, keeps leaking!

sounds like the seal is getting ate up by the axle. the axle spins in side the seal and if the surface finish of that axle is not smooth and nick free then it will rip up the seal over time. so i say pull the axle out and replace the seal and inspect the seal to see if the surface finish is smooth if not then you need to replace it. now remember before installin the new axle into the new seal you must greese the seal and the axle both. top off the trans fluid and you should be good to go
