So I saw "Troy" last night...

yeah it was a great movie, but i'm not going to talk about that...

There was this one guy in the movie theater who had this cough, it wasn't an annoying cough, more like... Anyone here watch beavis and butt-head? You know butt-head's laugh? 'uh-heh', yeah that one, imagine that deeper, and that was this guy's cough, it was halarious (more on that later).

So anyway, I heard this guy a few times, but didn't take notice of it until the really quiet part of the movie where brad pitt firsts sees that hot chick in his tent, right, and I turned to my brother, and I said "that guy sounds like butt-head!" and we had a little giggle, 1 minute later, he coughs again, then I start PISSING my self with laughter, at this point I can't control my self, this is beyond funny, beyond halarious, this was the funnyest moment of my life! My stomach begins to hurt, and worst of all, I've set my brother off on a mass-hysterical laughing-binge, and now we're both in an un-controlable fit of raging laughter. To add to this, it was at a really (and the most) quiet part of the film, where you could hear people breathing 3 rows behind you.
At this point, 5 minutes later, no signs of slowing down, my dad who was sitting 2 seats away, leans over and bitch slaps me, tells me to quiten down. I wasn't laughing loud, it was a silent laugh, one of those laughs that you can control the volume to a certain extent but can't control the rest. I dunno if I've explained that enough, but I hope you know what I'm trying to say.
So yeah, I close my eyes, block my ears with my fingers, and breath slowly, deeply trying to control the laugher, then it leaves. Then, my brother starts AGAIN and that sets me off.

The whole thing lasted nearly 10 minutes of me and my brother laughing. Then dad did the RIGHT thing and sepparated us. Me and dad changed seats.

I still giggled like a little girl a little bit, but I was closer to butt-head which was also, quite halaroius

I guess I'm that asshole who everyone wishes would piss off out of the cinimea! But my reasons were un-controlable. You don't laugh at someone in a fit when they can't control it! They shouldn't diss me.

BTW, the movie was fantastic. I don't know how historically correct it is, and I don't give a shit, but if you haven't yet seen it, do your self a favour!

Re: So I saw "Troy" last night...

eh, I didn't think it was all that great... I expected it to be much more. Bored of all the sappy romance crap. As far as the epic battles, they were a disappointment. It had a shitload of ppl runnin at each other but as far as combat, it wasn't anything special.

Re: So I saw "Troy" last night...

decent movie, well acted, good fight scenes, and i enjoyed that they avoided the gods.

however, i seem to remember menelaus and agamemnon living, achillies one night standing the girl, paris dying, and the siege taking ten years....not 10 days. you'd think they would read the illiad, before making a movie based on it.

Re: So I saw "Troy" last night...

I loved the movie. pretty good action, told the story fairly well, I would go see it again.

Re: So I saw "Troy" last night...

I was only mildly impressed with it; it was a good movie, but not amazing. I thought Pitt as achilles was jumping around a little too spiderman-ish, and a lot. It was cool at first, but al the jumping and leaping started to get old. The fight with hector was quite impressive, however. but overall I'm glad I saw it, but I dont think Id pay to see it again.
