I love my impala to death however I have a couple issues I need help with.
1). Every so often when I first start my car and try to move it is like the brakes are partly on ? After speeding up it eventually corrects itself. 2). I have to turn the key in the ignition to ACC and have the security light come on and then fully start the car otherwise the ABS and Traction Control Off light stay on. I had the braking system double checked at a place other than my dealer and they said the brakes looked brand new and everything was fully funtioning. I know the 6th cynlinder in the car the timing is off so the dealer is doing a complete tune-up for me at no charge- could the timing be causing the brake like affect ? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Brakes partly on my 2003 as well
Having the same issue with the brakes on my 2003. Dealer saying it is fluid contamination and needs to replace the entire system for $3000 dollars. Did you resolve your problem. Was it the abs module?

Re: 2000 impala help ?????????????
brakes have nothing to do with a timing problem in an engine.
