Damn generator won't start.
Not sure where to put this thread...
My Uncle has this Onon (or Onan....I dunno....) 4600 commercial generator that won't start. It's on a great big bucket truck. Turns over...has gas...almost starts...cleaned the plugs...don't know what else to do. It makes a real loud noise that sounds kinda like a gong....<shrug>. We're car people.....not generator people. If I heard a car make that noise, I'd run away. Anyone knows anything about these damn things, lemme know what could be wrong with it. I'll post a couple pics tomorrow. My net's being dumb. Thanks guys.

Yeah, you have to plug it in, otherwise it won't have anything for the starter to run off.
Also needs power to give the plug spark. I am innocent
