Re: Big Project Need Lots of Help

as long as those rust spots aren't thru the metal you shouldn't have too much trouble with the body. The doors should prolly be replaced, along with the interior, you may be able to re-cover the seats. As for the engine, I couldn't tell ya, you may be able to clean it up and rebuild it. Or, if you wanna bring it to Ohio, I'll just trade you straigt up for my RS.

The car has only 2 owners the person before my dad and my dad so the car has more sentimental value than your RS does. I am going to get the car in about a year and i wanted to start working on the vehicle my self. The rust is no through the body and the engine run like a champ just looks like i bought it from a junk yard.

Eh...that's a pretty beat up champ. Take it in to a machine shop and have them acetone blast the engine bay. Get everything sparkles again.

my RS has plenty of sentimental value, to me at least, it's my very first car.

With something like that, I think if you have alot of free time most of that can be fixed with minimal cost. I actually think its a very good starting point to resote an old car because the body is in overall good shape (just some surface rust) and you said the engine is good. Just gotta focus on that interior and get some of the smaller kinks worked out.

Mike i do no see any rust on the underside of the car. I live in wa state western side. the car is ok to drive if i get the tire and get a battery. one mechanical thing my dad just told me that needs to be fixed is the alignment on the car.
