led's inside the heater vents...anyone ever try it?

I was thinking of possibly doing this but I was wondering how difficult it would be and If the light itself was hidden from view so that only the light glow was see'n inside the vents.

They sell kits on e-Bay...look around. I have been thinking about it for a long time, and the kit itself is much cheaper and easier than buying the spendy LEDs separately.

if you guys put leds in your vents try to paint the insides white for better color illumination. So that any color led you put in it will glow that color brighter in the white rather then in a black vent. Remember white reflect all colors beter then black.

I wonder if some type of foil would work, and if it was crumpled it could give it a cool look even...maybe.

I wonder if white would look pretty bad in the day though?

nope dont do white dont do anything just install the lights but make sure the vent color matches the light so if u have blue vents u get blue lights yellow vents yellow lights and so on, i have done that to so many ppls car and it comes out great. use a small pce of velcrow to hold them down so u can move the angle if u want

Thats a pretty cool idea. Yeah a strobe or blinking LED would look cool too.

That's a pretty cool idea. Wish I had thought of that. though i dont' know why you'd need a specific kit for it, couldln't you jsut use and old lights from the zone or wal mart?
