I have a 2001 v6 and just go under the car and its behind that tank . But watch out when you take it off it is pressurized and will get in your eyes. I know I tried and it burned like a mo fo.

Re: alero pump,filter??

The best thing to do to overcome the pressue thing is to start the car and let it get to normal op. temp. Then with the car still running, pull the fuse relay under the hood for the fuel pump. The car will die because it's not getting fuel (this is supposed to happen) and the system won't be pressurized.
