LS1 camaro against Lt1 vette with a few mods?
Hey guys would a stock 00 camaro SS with a decent driver be able to take a 94 auto vette with 4:10's,shift kit,catback exhaust and a CAI in a 1/4 mile race?
The camaro is a manual and an LS1 whear as the vette is an LT1 with an auto but has some mods.Do you think the camaro can still take it in the 1/4?

WIth the 4.10 gears, im gonna say the Vette through the 1/4. Anyhting more then that and the camaro would have him..

i estimated that i have 3.73's in my car...is there nething between 3.50 and 3.73?

k cause what i did was turn the tire one rotation and counted how many times the drive shaft went around and estimated and it was a lil over 3.50 so i think it was 3.73's.....you think thatll b good with the 700r4 im puttin in?

yep. a 700R4 has an awsome 1st gear ratio and the overdrive makes up for the higher rpm's. i installed 3:73's along with a possi unit in my friends 3rd gen, he hasn't lost a race yet. and the hellish fast cookies he pulls off are so fun

Chevrolet makes 3.55 gears.. I have a set in Nova. I have had 3.08's, 3.55's , 3.73's, and 4.56's in my nova, and 4.11's in my Vette.. A 3.55 is the best all around gear there is in my experience, so IMO a 3.50 (first time i have heard of it) would do well in your camaro.

I have the stock rear end in my 92' RS , what gear ratio is that running ? And I want more accel but level it with top end. What should I change the aspect to ?
