accord v6 fuel gauge

I have a 2000 accord V6 EX sedan, and I can put gas in until its right to the top of the neck and it only registers 3/4 full on the gauge. Ever since I had this car its been this way. Is this normal for these cars?

I had the same problem with my 98 also. Ran it out of gas several months ago. It has worked fine since then.
