just for fun i wanted to know who would most likely win between these two cars being that both are stock and both drivers are almost on the same driving skill.. cuz they both got engines that every1 craves.. 4g63 and THE sr20det

I don't think so, both the S13/14 Silvias with no mods run about a 15 flat in the quarter. The GS-T also runs a 15.0 while the GSX runs about a 14.8. I call a tie.

no, the GST is turbocharge, and its GS-T not GT-S The GT-S came on the models 00 and up (the 3rdgen eclipses)

This is kind of rediculous. I didn't know we had a bench-racing forum. Anyway, the fastest EVO 8 is like 10.9 seconds, because they are so new I guess. It's not for lack of motor seeing as how there are 4G63's in the 7's. I don't know shit about nissans, what is the fastest 2.0 liter nissan running?

Not sure about the SR20. I've seen a FWD SR20DET SE-R do a 9 second run. But I don't know about a RWD SR20. There's an S13 with an RB26 in it that runs high 6's. It was built by HKS.

The turbo-ready(evo) 4G63 tops out at about 600hp on stock internals while the Silvia SR20 tops out at about the same. But the SR20 that came in the GTi-R can take about 750-800hp on stock internals.

However, the true king of Nissan turbo is the VG30DETT which can take upwards of 1200hp on stock internals. Yes, it is a stronger engine than the almighty RB26.

all i have to say is gs-t's are slow as piss. i rip them by 6-8 car lengths on the hiway over a span of 30mph.

i ran a 13.6.... im guessing its about a 14.6 stock (not 15.1!). i raced a high 14sec modded tiburon that's my friend the night i bought it (was alll stock with cat) and i pulled one car... and he ran a 14.7.

im still on open diff.... on lsd and some dr's im high 12's.


lets just say gs-t's dont really compare to sr20s...

I agree with you, tried the modify comparison, didn't turn out so well. The EVO8 is new so that's why 10.9 Seconds is the fastest for now (although RNR Racing is claiming 10.6 Seconds, but still haven't provided proof of this run) and the EVO platform is also new in the United States. Think about it the EVO is about to go on it's second summer season in the United States, and many are predicting that there will be many EVOs in the 11s and 10s. Nevertheless the 4G63 is not new, and neighter is the EVO for their are many 10 and 9 Second EVO I through EVO VII through out the world and a couple in the United States. Still it's a driver race, both engines have proven to have massive potential. Still I did see a SR20DET powered 240SX at the track last night at California Speedway, the car look like it had a lot of money and power under the hood, was very nice and impressive running a best time of 12.5@111MPH I believe. Even more impressive were two EVOs (one silver and one yellow) there that night who only had Vishnu Stage 1+ ($2,400)- 12.3@112MPH (silver one) and 12.4@110MPH (yellow one).
