Recall Update

I found out that GM just posted the recall to the dealers on May 26. When I called the dealer the service manager ask me for the last eight numbers of my Vin. #. She confirmed that my car needed to be repaired but there were no parts available yet and told me to get back with her in about a month. She also said that if anyone had there fuel rail replaced they would be reimbursed.

fuel rail

get it fixed. call oldsmobile. 1 800 630 6537. at first the guy told me mine didn't qualify. he then did more research and said notices were gona be sent out. 95-97. plastic fuel rail replaced with stainless steel. best bet is to call and insist and get a reference number. could cause a serious fire. to be safe carry an auto fire extinguisher. small, about 10 bucks at walmart. i installed mine just in front of my seat. you might not have any warning. check motor. if it smells like raw fuel take it to dealer. they must fix it. raise some hell if u have to.
