lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP

Well I raced at Sac tonight and got a best time of 13.45 @ 105.2 with a 2.22 60' and an 1/8 of 8.7 @ 83.6

So I hope you honestly post your best ET from this saturday, which I think will be better than mine. Goodluck 2000LS1Z28.

My timeslip is posted on my webpage.

Re: lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP ET vs. ET

Bobby's Evo won't beat a bug if Bobby isn't able to get a new clutch at clutch master's in the morning. Just a few 6K rpm launches destroyed my clutch tonight. Please have the clutch, clutch masters.

Nice, and you even have the time slips now to keep people shut up. Good run man, how many did you make that day?

Thanks, I am going back to get a 13.2-13.3 on Wednesday.
I made about 8-10 I think but I could have had about 15-20. At first I was able to run with less than 5 minutes between passes if I wanted. There arn't that many cars on the Test&Tune nights at Sac.

Re: lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP ET vs. ET

Well I won't be able to get any time slips until my new clutch comes in. I could've gotten the dealership to cover my clutch under warranty, but from what I have heard that would be near useless anyways, as the stock clutch sucks. Plus the new clutch I am getting grabs a little harder, from improved launches (Hopefully I will get a 1.7-1.8 sec. 60'). If I cut a 1.7 sec. 60' I should be ahead, anything less will be cutting it close.

Sorry to hear about the clutch, will the aftermarket one hold up better?

Goodluck I can't wait to see what that thing will do.

Re: lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP ET vs. ET

I ordered a clutch master's stage one kit. You can view it here. http://www.lancershop.com/clutch.htm
I think I can cut better 60' with it. Heck I might have had an ailing clutch to begin with

Sweet EVO you got there I checked out your cardomain page. Yeah with decent launches and driving your car will hit mid 13s, with great launches your will be in the low 13s. I was reading your list of mods you plan on adding, and not sure if you have bought them already, but I would highly recommend you look into getting a Vishnu Stage 1+ upgrade. I have witnessed these cars in action, and all of them have run 12.2 to 12.4 1/4 Mile times, and even the one's that have not been tuned personally by the owner SHIV, have run 12.6 to 12.8 1/4 Mile times. I would highly recommend you starting with that. If your car is stock, good luck against the GTP, with a great launch you will get him. Hey if you ever have the time, not sure where La Crescent, California is but you should race at California Speedway, in Fontana on the 26th of June. Man last weekend there were 8 EVOs there, and most were running low 12s to low 13s. This weekend in Carlsbad, there might be another EVO gathering, so if interested come on down.

Re: lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP ET vs. ET

Yeah I have several mods on it already. The Vishnu packages are expensive btw. I have an ecu dynoflash, HKS 3" catback exhaust, and a K&N panel filter already on the car (Along with a free mod from the website). The clutch wasn't something I was planning on. The car should run low 13's. I had big plans to go to Speedway, the stupid stock clutch destroyed those plans. Otherwise I could've met some cool Evo owners. The headwind would've hurt my car though (The Evo members were trapping 2 mph less then what they usually do on that day).

Re: lightly modded EVO vs. mildly modded GTP ET vs. ET

Well if things go well hopefully I will get the stock clutch this weekend. If that happens I plan on maybe going to Carlsbad with my car after some break in miles.

Cool. If you ever come up to Norcal we should get a vid of us racing at Sac or whatever. And to make this battle even closer I am pretty confident I will be able to get a 13.3Xs time this wednesday. Goodluck 2000LS1Z28!
