New Shocks and Stock springs

Im driving a 1999 Integra and I was wondering if and what kind of performance increase I would gain from buying new shocks but still having stock springs. Should I not use aftermaket shocks with stock springs?

You wont gain much with stock springs. Better ride, slightly stiffer
