auto to manual
hey guys, how hard would it be to change an automatic 89 iroc to a manual?? and what tranny would you suggest for doin the swap.
i finally found a good iroc for sale but its an auto and i really want a manual. im getting it for 1300 with 98000 miles. no body damage or anything and it runs great, but it has the auto. |

Well , I am going to do my own swap when I get the money and a new garage for it. Apparently everyone is leaning to the 700 and the t-56.
I'd sujest pick from one of those two maybe as they seem to get the most and best words on em'.

Well if you want a manual.. the 700 isnt gonna do you much good.. However, the T5 or T56 will work out for you..
If you've got a 305 and dont plan on modding it a lot, a T5 5 spd will work just fine.. If you've got a 350 or plan on modding your 305, then go with a T56 6 spd out of a 4th gen camaro

yeah, T5 would be easier cuz you just need a doner car for the parts, but the T56 is a better overall choice.

I just got done replying to a post about the T56 swap i just dont feel like typing all that stuff again. I found the site to SPD and they tell u exactly what u need and how to do it. www.skulte.com
