A dirty little camaro story.

Well , as you guys know , I have the custom metallic purple paint on my car but I am sick and tired of going through a car wash and pulling out , first thing I can see is dirt collecting on my cowl. It's really annoying so I am thinking of changing my color. What would be one less likely to show fresh dirt the moment you pull out of the wash ?

Also , It's all scratched up from those "10 dollar" waxing places where they go non-english speaking people there grinding turtle wax into your car with the same towel they did the last persons with. -_-'

Re: A dirty little camaro story.

how come my stupid thingy doesn't work either ?
is it required to be .gif format ?

Also , I wish to have a paint that won't increase my insurance either , unlike the purple.

why dont you buy the paint yourself and have a proffesional shoot it? you can get dupont at some of the parts stores for bout $250-300 a gallon then figure another $100 for clear coat, or activator just depending on if you want a single or 2 stange finish

Re: A dirty little camaro story.

any dark color is going to show dirt very well, so lighter colors, yellow, orange, green lol, that kinda stuff would work. that purple is a pretty dark color from what i can see, so its probly alot like my black camaro, its a constant battle to keep her clean, i just gave up durring pollen season.

Re: A dirty little camaro story.

The camaro Metallic blue Looks real good.. and even though its a darker color, it still hides dirt pretty well.. I'de say if you dont want to do anything too drastic, take the Metallic blue.. Silver is also one way to go.. DOnt see many of them, it'd look sharp...

I painted my 91Z factory GM bright red but added 35mg's of blue pearl to the paint, and had silver Heritage edition stripes painted on, shaved the handles and locks.. Looks awesome, and its one of a kind..

A few ideas to kick around anyway

why are ya telling the insurance company that you changed colors? i've changed the color on 2 of my vehicles, and the insurance card still says the original color on it. i've been pulled over in both vehicles and the cops never even bring it up
