Re: tranny swap

you can put in an Si tranny, but you will also need the half shafts and the steering knuckles, because the std tranny has less splines on the half shafts than the Si

once again, my advice may be A LITTLE off, becuase i havent had a civic for a while, between my quattro i had for about a min. my jetta, that i still ahve and my new accord (hey, at least in getting back intot he honda scene right?) lol

no half shafts, but you do need the hub/knuckle assembly because the 4 speed axles do have less splines, so you gotta switch to 5 speed assmeblys.

Re: tranny swap

yea, but if you switched over to the Si tranny and hubs, you would need new halfshafts because the diffence in spline, you couldnt re-use the std halfshafts....right?

i could very well be wrong, but im pretty sure im not.
