got a knock in the front end when turning

only happens on the turns. sometimes you hear it and sometimes you dont. I checked the front end and all seeemed tight so I then went to the rack and with a helper turning the wheel I came to the conclusion that the rack was shot. changed it and its less nosie but still there. sounds like front end like ball joint or tie rod but with the car jacked up they alll seem tight any ideas ?

wheel bearing?

My '02 Intrepid was doing that same thing and ended up getting worse. I t ended up being a wheel bearing. You might check it out. I've heard of several people having issues with the front wheel bearings on the Intrepid

Re: got a knock in the front end when turning

try checking the wear on your front end bushings, primarily where the control arms meet the front cradle and where the lower control arms meet the tie rods
