Question Mods for a 95 3.4 dohc engine

Anyone know what kind of mods can be done in a 1995 z34 Monte Carlo?
I would like to do a few things to give it a little more power and improve the miliage a little. I don't know what to do because of the lack of space under the hood. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Black Monte
