Expert Tuners, I need your help

I just installed a Zex stage 1 camshaft on my 96 GS-R that has the other following mods.

AEM Cold Air Intake
DC Sports 4-2-1 Exhaust Header
ApexI N1 Cat Back Exhaust
Skunk2 Performance Intake Manifold
JG Bored Throttle Body
MSD Ignition Wires
ACT Heavy Duty Clutch
Short Shifter
Hyper Ground Wires
Platinum +4 Plugs

I am going to pick up a VAFC to see if i can get some more power out of the new cam. I don't really know that much about tuning but i had a couple questions.

1. Can i just test n tune till i get it right or could that cause damage?
2. Is there any archives of vehical specific tuning information on the web?
3. Do you guys know a good Vtec engagment point for this particular cam?

To truly tune your engine, you should get on a dyno. There's no real way to tell what kind of gains your settings are giving, or which ones are better, you if you don't.

If you don't have a dyno or access, the next best thing would be to order a stand alone wideband o2 sensor like www.plxdevices.com and at least tune your motor to stoich conditions. Running a little rich can produce more Hp, but you'd have to dyno test to be certian.
