Need opinions on what looks better!
Hey, I have my 94 Del Sol here. Its a black car, and I need to replace the driver's front corner-light. Dealer retail for brand new replacement oem is like $160. So I looked at ebay and I was curious if anyone here has had any experience on the quality of aftermarket lamps for the Hondas.
Plus if anyone could give some criticism on what would look better on a black Del Sol: or I definately want street-legal, and most importantly I dont want it to look ghey Thanks! |

Re: Need opinions on what looks better!
Hey, I was wondering if I could find anyone else who sells the clear ones. The one on my driver's side needs to be replaced eventually - I think the bulb I put in it is starting to melt the housing a bit.
![]() If I'm not mistaken, these corner lights are all made by the same company, even though they're being sold through a bunch of people on eBay. Quality was pretty good, but I think the driver's side wasn't quite sealed as well as the passenger side, so it's just slightly fogging, but not very noticeable. I intend to purchase a replacement pair eventually. Looks good, although for your black car I would stay with the all clears. The black housing makes it look like you're missing your corner lights when you're driving around. Check the link to my car in my sig. Has a picture of what they look like on a dark green Del Sol. I had orange colored bulbs in them at the time of the picture, but I've since replaced them with those chrome-plated bulb dealies. Looks much better and very clear now instead of the orange haze looking at the lights. However, I think those bulbs are causing my corner lamp to melt. At least on the side that's not sealed as well. Maybe it's just a flawed corner light... Anyway, I have the all clear ones that I got from eBay a while back. All things considered, they're decent. Not as good as Honda manufacturing, but for $20 I've been very happy with 'em.

Re: Need opinions on what looks better!
the only problom your going to have no matter how good of a clear corner you get is that they look WAY off when next to the OE headlamp..they all have a clear smooth open lence as opposed to the not as clear textured lence of the headlamp...It looks way out fo place..your best bet is buy a set of good used corners from somone who has replaced theres with these ugly corners and knock the amber insert out of them !! then your GOLD ..clear corners that match your headlamp perfectly !!!!!! try www.ebay.com and for used try www.car-part.com or www.importautosalvage.com !! those clear corners look good on cars that already have smooth clear casings for headlamps or projection lamps..but on a SOL its a ugly no no
