Just purchased a 2003 Trailblazer for the wife.
Last night when we came home, we both got out of the car and shut the door. About 5 seconds later I heard the doors lock. The key was still inside, thankfully I had a spare in my pocket. Has anyone heard of this before. The doors locked on their on after we had gotten out. FYI I do not have keyless entry. |

Re: Doors locked automatically?
it's kind of hard to believe you don't have keyless entry on your TB but if you say so i have to believe you, I think the dealer or salesman forgot to give it to you or just plain lost your keyless transmitter. All that being said , most GM vehicles has this delayed lock feature. On my TB I can set the locks and lights up to so many seconds after I close the door. On my Olds Intrigue I have the same thing. Call your dealer or salesman

Re: Doors locked automatically?
A friend is having the same problem with his 2004 TB. If he gets out and leaves his keys in the ignition the TB will lock him out. He doesn't touch the lock button on the door when he gets out.
The deal says "GM says that's how it should work" but when he ask them to show him that fact in the manual they can't. To lock you out is a serious safety issue, especially in some cities! Anyone else have feedback on this? |
