stalls and dies

There was a post 2 weeks ago with the title "stalls and dies". I am having the exact same problem, was there ever a solution found?

I have a 1991 K2500. It will start for 2 sec. and die, if I do this a number of times it will start and run fine. Some times it takes 3-4 tries to get it started and sometimes as many as 10 tries. I replaced the fuel pump and filter about 6 weeks ago.

I'm not sure if it's fuel or spark related. It sounds like all spark just shuts off, but who knows. Any ideas of where to start?
