Oxygen Sensor Location
I get an OBDII code of P0133 = O2 Sensor CKT Slow Response (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
Can someone tell me where this is located? Thanks. |

Re: Oxygen Sensor Location
The O2 sensor is located in the exhaust pipes usually before the catalitic converters. They screw into the exhaust pipe and have a wire connected to them running to the engine. I dont know which is Bank 1 in the regular taurus, you would have to ask a dealer. The 3 cylinders in the front are a 'bank' and the three cylinders in the back are a 'bank'. I would think that there would be a sensor for each bank since it is specifing the bank.

Re: Oxygen Sensor Location
Thanks for your quick response. You basically confirmed what I have read, and wanted to be sure - I think bank 1 is associated with cylinder 1.
Regards. |
