DOWNPIPE ?'s

Does anyone know where, or if anybody makes a downpipe that just eliminates the front precat, and nothing else....I want to get a downpipe that will keep the Main Cat, and just lose the front pre-cat, then I want to buy a single rear pre-car eliminator pipe. Im going to pass emissions with the main cat, thats it, and then after its inspected, im going to swap the cat out for test pipe, and just put the Main cat back on for every time I need my new inspection sticker.

BUT I NEED THIS DOWNPIPE........

:-(

We don't have emissions testing here, however, I am pretty sure you can pass by just gutting out your precats and leaving your main cat in place. Then put in your test pipe or high flow cat after you pass. It would be a way you don't have to get a downpipe at all.

Just my opinion.

Your best bet would be to get a local exhaust shop sutom build you a DP. That's what I did, cost all of $125. So I had them custom build the rest of the exhaust, eliminating all cats, and mufflers for $225 Plus, they used galvanized Aluminum instead of stainless steel, so it's twice as light

Check this out, it is a pros/cons comparison of all the major brands for our cars. It also tells which kitties each one eliminates if I remember correctly.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
