Exhaust O2 sensors N/a

I understand that most of the aftermarket exhausts for the 2.7 are not true dual exhausts. They connect before the cat with a Y pipe, and then split up again for the mufflers. If you wanted 2 seperate cats and exhausts going back instead of 2 Y connects how would you compensate for the second cat and muffler as far as the O2 sensor is concerned. I believe this setup would be best for the N/a guys but im not sure how to get correct readings with only 1 O2 sensor. If anyone can help out thanks.
