Engine Swap Hlep Please!!!!!
i need to know if an engine out of a 1987 CRX Si (engine code D15A3) will fit in a 89 civic hatch dx since they are both d15 blocks just diff gens. also the civic is a dual point i was wonder if i could jsut swap wire harn and ecu instead of hacking the org harness?

I am not sure if the engine will swap over or not( I have kind of been wondering the same thing) but the wiring harness will not connect straight over so if you wanted the MPFI you are goin to have to rig up your harness for it

So i cant just take a wire harness out of a 88-91 crx/civic si and just swap out wire harn and ecu???

mounts and fuel injections is different i do believe. why would you even want to do that?

yea i have a 87 crx si that needs a lot of work to susp. body just a junk or parts car and the engine in it was rebuilt not 20k ago on it and my dx slung a rod so i need engine and i don really have the money for a new engine right now. (kids)
