Talking Good night for my Lude!

It started off with me going to get dinner, and driving by some car show meeting where people were just hanging out. When I was pulling out on my way home, a Z24 Cavalier with 3 people in it tried to go flying by me, and I just pressed the gas in and once my car hit vtec i just went flying by him and when I hit 3rd gear I had about 3 cars on him and I shut down around 80 b/c I knew he wasn't going to catch me! By the time we were done racing, I missed my turned, so I just drove a little more to see what was goin on tonight, and after I turned around, a 240sx (non-turbo) went to the furthest right lane and punched thru 1st and 2nd. I tried to catch up but couldn't. So we pulled up to the next light, and he was shaking his head like he emabarrassed me or something, and the light turned green b4 we stopped. So we both put it in 1st and I waited for him to go. When he finally did, I stomped the gas and caught him at the end on 1st, then he pulled when we shifted into 2nd, and once I hit 3rd I put about 4 cars on him, and we slowed down around 85.
Later after stopping somewhere, I headed home once again, and this time it was an Eclipse Car Club that I stumbled across. The first Eclipse I raced looked like Brian Spilner's Eclipse, only it was red. We raced from a dead stop at a light. Once the light turned green, I launched around 3500RPMs, and I had about a car on him thru 1st(thank You LSD), then I pulled almost 3 more cars in 2nd, and when i hit 3rd he started slowing down. The next Eclipse was a white one w/turbo, and he wanted to "race from a stop" after he noticed he wasn't pulling away too hard when we dropped into 2nd gear. So I was just thinking "I hope this isn't a GSX" Once the light turned green I launched around 3kRPMs and he pulled almost 2 cars on me in 1st(that's when I noticed the GSX sticker) but I started to catch up at the end of 2nd, and then he had about 4 cars on me at the end of 3rd. I had a fun night just racing with no trouble. No body was a bitch about losing to a red sanded Prelude with no emblems, and an INTAKE! LOL Hope you guys enjoy reading my story as much as I enjoyed living it...be safe
P.S.- Don't drive fast unless you know how!

BULLSHAT

You drive a prelude and you raced a GSX and won? I guess the guy wasent racing huh.

200hp FWD VS. 210hp AWD.

He would get you off the line. Unless he wasent racing.

Re: Good night for my Lude!

True. He said he lost, and the story is believable.

And Brian Spilner is my hero

civicHB...i appreciate that... and FDTT & 96Civ...I LOST to the GSX and I will admit it...bekuz i'm not a ricer with a red eclipse, w/bodykit, rims, and and erector set wing (ALL SHOW NO GO!)...LIKE I SAID in my original post...
The next Eclipse was a white one w/turbo, and he wanted to "race from a stop" after he noticed he wasn't pulling away too hard when we dropped into 2nd gear.
And AWD doesn't do much good once ur already going, but that turbo does! If i'm not mistaken, bc of 4 wheel motion you lose even more HP between the crank and wheels(but i could be wrong)

And by the way, u might look at my car and laugh, but when i fly by u in 3rd gear...ur just gonna wish you wouldn't have tried!!
I hate when people accuse others of being nooB's...I bet its so hard to believe b/c you've never seen some1 with a JDM H22 swap w/intake, ghetto rigged distributor and VTEC hook up...know how to drive!!! I'm on a tight budget, and I like to do the work myself b/c i'm not afraid to get dirty and learn something new...especially with my easy to work on HONDA. I bet i'll pull off atleast a 15.3 at the track my 1st time! But talk is cheap...Goin to the track next week....its a done DEAL! and i'll post my slips
peace

Re: Good night for my Lude!

Yall can lick my balls. I missread the post. I though he said he beat the GSX. And i didnt mention newbie once. SO kiss my ass.

Personaly i like ludes, im in a prelude club and i work on cars for a living and i do just not see how a FWD 200hp would beat an AWD 200hp car. But like i said i read it wrong.

And crispie, i have never heard of you either, and i dont GIVE A SHIT. Whats your point, i dont spend all day in here, thats why you dont know me.

Re: Good night for my Lude!

Well then what are you doing here. leave if you dont like it.

there are lot's of factor's in racing hp is one of many, I dont know why that's all people care about. my 140hp fwd car can take out 200hp awd car's, why? because it weighs alot lighter and I can drive my car pretty decently.

Re: Good night for my Lude!

Never said i dont liek it, i just dont feel that spending all my time in here talking about cars is so great, id rather drive the car. But i fi cant drive ill talk about them.

And yes, it is possible to beat an AWD car that has 200hp with a FWD car with 140, but that is not easy to do. A GSX is not that heavy and has a great launch, and with the power of the turbo it is hard to beat. But im sure you can do ti.

CivicHBSi91 - then again you don't have 140 horses. And i personally don't think that most honda's with 140 horses no matter how light they are can run with DSM's. Eclipses and talon's aren't that heavy at all. And this particular eclipse probably wasn't stock. We are just assuming it is which would be a big mistake in a street race. My friend in his with his DSM can go from mild to wild with one button. And as far as i know yes AWD does lose more HP to the wheels.
