another one bited the dust, dun dun dun

Well this time it was a toyota supra turbo. I Pulled up at dunkin donuts, Minding my own business and i hear a vrooooomm whoooosshhhh whisp whisp. I turn around and 3 ricers pull up behind a red supra.. im thiking late 80's early 90's. Targa top, red, 18'', exuast "tips" the almost the size of his rims. The passanger gets out and asks me "this you'r ride". Im like.. "ughhhh yeah why". Im thinking that i cut him off or he had something against me. But he asks me "it quick?" "yes" i replied. Now, not knowing this guy he starts asking me questions about the car, "what you got a 6cyl? pop you'r hood, what kind of exuast" Im like.. "what do you want?" The driver gets out and comes over to me and asks me to run him at one of te stop lights. All his friends are in their little ricers parked, and looking at me like my car is on fire or something. So after him bugging me i finally say "ok, one run at the light, i dont wanna hear, oh i missed a shift, or oh i lifted, just one true all out run'' he says "fine"
SO we pull up to a red light, there is a small mist falling, and just by the way this kid looks, i could aready tell he didint know anything about launch controll. He brings his engine up to about 5000 rpm and holds it. I dont even powerbrake it. I just let it idle there, Now my advantage was, i was in the right lane. So i could see the other light turning from geen, to yellow, and finally red. There i knew i had about 4 seconds before Mine was green. He brings his engine up to about 6000 and the light turns. I hear his tires spin and his engine bang off the rev limiter, I get a little sideways, and lift a touch. My car grabs and i start to accelerate away from him. I hear him lift and then bang 2nd. His revs are up again against the limiter. He finally catches and i hear him hit 3rd. I can feel my power starting slide a little bit at abvout 5500. Then 2nd catches and i get thrown back into my seat again. Im pulling away from him at a very steady pace now. Im at about 70 and i shift into 3rd and i start to pull even further away. After 100 he is about 10 car leingths back. I tap my brakes a few times to signal im slowing. i slow back down to about 70 or so when he fly's past me still racing. I slow back down to about 40, and all of his little ricer friends pass me, doing about 80, on their hornes as the go past. Another smile comes out. I need to burn that cd "another one bites the dust".. kind of a victory song.

old skewl ricers really can't compete with hardcore muscle. Especially without driving experience.

However..There was a turbo XT6 ( custom job I assume as there wasn't anything desgined to specifically fit the 1988 - 1991 subaru XT-6 with the h-6 2.7 litre. ) Almost beat me..I was like hell naw. I mashed it pretty hard ( before getting any mods) and pulled away from him pretty steadily cept..he also had a five speed and 4 wheel drive.. Some serious grip for take off and all the power he needed in 1st. ( I WANT MY 5 SPEED! )

ahh that reminds me of the time a punk in a cavalier told me camaro's suck. he had his early 90's V6 cavalier with the stick on hood scoop and neon lights. after following me and some friends around town all night i finally raced him. i was driving an 88 camaro with a built 350tbi w/auto trans. we both pull up at a stop light and i put her in 2nd gear knowing that i wouldn't need all gears to woop his ass. we both stomp it off the line and i completly killed him, by the time i hit 70mph he was about 15 car lengths behind me, so being the nice guy that i am i decided to give him another shot. i slowed down to about 40mph and waited for him to catch up. as soon as his headlights were even with with my bumper i stomped it again, all i hear is him doing a 3rd gear scratch as i quickly pull away. i then repeated this whole process again and killed him yet another time. after the 3rd time he turned the corner and drove off with his pride.
what's really funny is that after this whole experience, 3 months later he bought a firechicken with a 350tpi

cant compete?? Even when my Supra was bone stock there wasnt a 3rd gen around here that could touch me, it would kill my 91 Z28 350tpi with BPU's and ide run right beside any LT1.. And from a rolling race, ide beat them too..

Re: another one bited the dust, dun dun dun

I've beaten a carerra 4 already , wasted a GS eclipse and a wrx. There is a guy with a roughly 94-96 green pearl supra in the lot , he just got it. I will challenge him. It's a turbo. But not until I do a tranny swap and get headers.

BTW - Does anyone know if the 99 Vortec intake box will fit the camaro ? It would make it way easier to super charge it
