2000 GT-Effective mods
I just bought a 2000 Celica GT, I was just wondering what the most effective mods would be for about $700-800. Also, when does the vvti kick in on that model, it's a 5-speed if that makes any difference.
Thanks

Re: 2000 GT-Effective mods
For $700-800 you should be able to find a pretty good turbo kit.You could go for an exauhst system and a high performance filter/cold air intake,to get you started, pluss you would have money left over.

how much hp will an exhaust and intake add to the Celica? Also, turbo kits are much more than $700-800, unless you mean making your own turbo kit? I'm looking at the TRD exhaust system and maybe an Injen intake, any other suggestions? Thanks for the help

Re: 2000 GT-Effective mods
hey, ive had a 2000 celica before my current 90 celica both gt's and i would rather have this 90. I mean ya, ther fast from the factory,,, but for boost (turbo), you gotta doit right on the newer celi's. I mean thers not much room for error becuase of the high compression. If you want turbo, turbo your 5sfe or get a 3sgte and you'll be able to hang with a celica.
If not, you can get an ecu upgrade, this should enhance your acceleration. good luck~
