New clutch installed

I just put in a new clutch, shifting was very hard at first, has loosened up though.Reverse grinds unless I shift into 5th first, how can I fix this? I was told by a mechanic to bleed the clutch, that would tighten the clutch pedal and make reverse stop grinding. Can anyone give me some input on what to do please.

yup try that, our van does the same thing, get the clutch bleeded and some fresh fluid and you should be good to go
