I have a 2001 Blazer. The rear hatch and window will not open. The actuator is working but will not release the window. Any suggestions. Thanks

I have a 2001 Blazer. I was able to release my window latch and hatch by making a tool out of an old fondue fork, I broke the end of it off and bent it in a U shape, 2 X 2 X 1. I inserted the two inch part into the access hole (with the end of it facing up) into the oval shaped access hole located at the underneath the top part center of the carpeted area on the back hatch. Once inserted I started at the 2:00 position and worked to the 10:00 position counter clockwise several times until I made contact with the latching mechanism which unlatched the glass. Once the glass was open I was able to release the hatch. At that point I disassembled the plastic covering and metal covering under that and found that the actuator cellinoid plastic part was broken. Hope this is able to help you.
