GForce T5
Does anyone know anything about the GF/T5? I know it "suposedly" can handle 500ft. lbs, but I'm not sure about it all yet. I know you can get one model with helical cut gears suposedly at a different angle from stock, so it would make a little noise. Not like a Jerico with spur cut gears by any means but similar. I am mainly wondering about price and options. I am considering a Richmond T10, but if I can get GF guts for a T5 housing for cheaper why not keep the o/d tranny. Just tell me what you guys think or make suggestions about other transmisions that you think may be a little better/different.

g-force kits are awesome. i'd get one in a heartbeat if i had a 302/t-5 stang that was making 500 horse or more. i'm probably going to get a used t-56 and one of their kits to use behind my 408. MMFF just did a big review of them and they were all for them.

Re: GForce T5
I'm thinking I'm gonna wait on my 393 notch car and build a street car for now. So I'm lookin at a '95 GT 5.0/T5. Strip the computer ect, and go carb'd hydro roller with vic jrs and a 5 spd with 4.10's out back. I like the Richmond T10 4 spd though, nice gears for a higher rpm engine. I know 7000rpms is alot for the street but a 306 will spin to the moon and back. I'm lookin for 400rwhp. Which shouldnt be too hard with the drivetrain efficiency you get from a manual trans.

Re: GForce T5
Gforce's customer service, or lack thereof, sucks ass. They don't return phone calls, as soon as you get your transmission if it brakes you're screwed, and the kits arn't that great. If you want a stout stick trans go with an X2C TKO kit.

Re: GForce T5
Thanks boosted I'll look into that. One question about the quoted power levels for diff trannys. When they say ex 450 ft lbs max am I right in assuming they mean fly wheel hp?
