2001 Stereo switch...

So I went out on Sunday and installed an after market stereo in my 2001 Cavalier... The guy at Best Buy told me that the airbag may be a problem but If I pull the stereo and the airbag light does not come on then it isn't a problem... and it didn't so me and my buddy took 8 hours installing the new stereo and its components and now that I'm finished the stereo sounds great... however my Odometer light is burnt and the chime that tells me when my keys are still in the ignition or my lights are on doesn't work.... The rest of my dash works fine just the odometer is burnt out and the door chime won't chime.. I think everything else is working fine... Anyone know if this is usual and/or how I can fix it...

Re: 2001 Stereo switch...

On my 04 I was told in advance that I would lose my chimes. Crutchfield sells some kind of adapter for around $75 that lets you keep the chimes. I didn't get that. I don't like the chimes anyway.
