engine repair need help

ok i having loud knocking noise told it might have threw a bearing once i strip it all apart and fix what ever the problem is what gaskets will need sealant and what wont taking oil pan off too...its jsut a regular stock motor off a crx si which is i think d16a6....and also i still trying to get and answer why my car was like at its max at 5500 rpms every shift but i could push it beyond that but wasnt gaining nothing jsut making me slower...if someone can answer that be nice..thanks

if you plan on rebuilding your motor yourself you might as well buy a manual, and from the discription above its not going to last long.

if you spun a rod bearing and you are going to beat on it you might as well get a rebuild with a waranty.
