buddhist monks talk, they just aren't materialistic and not supposed to own anything. They are sworn to a life of only finding peace (this means not owning anything). I went to a buddhist temple once though, they all had TVs with asian movies
 . So they don't always follow what they preach, as long as they maintain good karma
