B16 swap drop question

When Installed my B16 in my 91 CRX si I had to raise the car for it to be drivable. I have cheap A$$ coil overs and no Idea how much I am dropped at the moment.I want to buy a real set of springs and struts that will perform real nice with my new motor. Ride COmfort is not much of an issue, currently I am running motegi 16's with Yokohama Parada Spec 2's 205/40/16. I also have about 100 lbs of stereo in the hatch(well mounted). Here is the pisser, I live in Vermont and due to frost heaves in the winter the roads get real bumpy. I drive hard in the mountains lots of twisty steep gradient driving where 180 turns are not uncommon. Needless to say the suspension gets a helluva workout. I am hoping to keep the cost under $600. Of course i'm looking for sugestions on combonations to install but my main question is, what is the optimum drop to run with a B16 swap.
Thanks tons,

Re: B16 swap drop question

good spring shock combo are H&R, Eibach or Neuspeed springs along with Koni, KYB, or Tokico shocks. The b16 really shouldn't have made that much of difference. But I hear you on the bumpy roads and everything. Any combo out of those 6 will probably be under $600.

I'd say for your needs and also weight additions, go with Skunk2 coilovers (yes they are a bit stiffer than most others, but handling should be good) and match them to some Koni Yellow shocks.

What I have in the car now are crappy coil overs. To Install them I had to remove the rubber pad from the bottom of the top mounting plates, now my suspension rattles. I am hoping to eliminate the rattling with this upgrade, do I need to hit a Junkyard for new ones or will this solve that problem?

Tein Basic Dampener true full coilovers. Retail for $750, can be found for as low as $600 sometimes on www.groupbuycenter.com
