What is the best headlight projection system?

I'm trying to decide what to go with. I want brighter lights, I'm sick of melting sockets, so I decided to get a new headlight system. I see the "black halos" and "silver halos" etc, but what would look decent and provide the best quality light? Here is a link to the lights I found on ebay:

Thanks for any opinions/suggestions

They're not really going to provide much better light.. I don't see how they could when the source remains the same. Save over $60 and do the 9005 conversion. You'll be very happy with it, its considerably brighter, and only takes about 15 minutes to do.

Re: What is the best headlight projection system?

Of course its legal, no one could even know the difference.. You're 100% more likley to draw attention to yourself with projectors than some headlight mod that the only way they would know you did it would be to take the bulb out and check the number.
Even if they did take the bulb out and look at it they still probably wouldn't know the difference between a 9005 or 9006.

If you don't want attention from cops, don't get those stupid coloured light bulbs, just get 9005s that are clear. (factory replacements)

I did it, the bulbs were like $6 cdn. each and I can see much better now.

i would say most projectors on ebay are from poor quality companies. but people don't mind.

Get an upgraded headlight wiring harness kit. That's what i'm planning to do. It's 40 bucks, no cutting and connects to battery for no voltage drop vs. the stock switch.

Meaning brighter lights and you can run that 80w bulb without fear of melting wiring.

Re: What is the best headlight projection system?

Where do I get an upgraded headlight wiring harness kit? Will that allow me to use the 9005 bulbs without melting wire? Or do I use some other kind of bulb?

Re: What is the best headlight projection system?

Prevents costly damage such as melted headlight sockets and burnt wiring.

Installs without any cutting or splicing. Installs in minutes and keeps your stock wiring intact. Draws power directly from the battery to the headlights eliminating voltage drops and improving headlight system reliability

For more Details, Explaination How it works, Diagrahms and How to install: http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlight...re-harness.htm

I'm gonna get one from Summit Racing instead $40. http://www.summitracing.com/catalogs...june/011f.html

you can build your own, if you like.

Re: What is the best headlight projection system?

I haven't had a problem with my 9005s, and I haven't heard anyone complain about thiers yet.

There's no reason that they would melt anything.

SiZ, currently Blue lights will even burn out my socket - only 9006's don't melt anything...

Re: What is the best headlight projection system?

Anyone got any wireing diragrams on how to make your own "upgraded headlight harness"? seems like you could do it with just a relay.

9005 wont melt them either, because all a 9005 is is a 9006 without the black tip. same wattage, so they wont melt your harness
