WoOoOoO!!! Custum Exhaust!

My brand new custum exhaust is being put on right now as I post this, I cannot wait to hear what it sounds like, custum cat-back with dual exit stock location mufflers with 3.5" tips, and 3" to 2.5" piping back....should sound nice, but not as nice as it did when it was dumped i bet......

O well, ill keep yall posted.

Re: WoOoOoO!!! Custum Exhaust!

Why did you go 2.5? Why not 3" all the way back? The stock vr4 is 2.75ish I think.

Did you go 2.5->3->muffler or the other way around?

Mandrel bent? Press bent?

I asked him to fit as big of piping on there as he had, and he said at the time before it was on the lift, just looking under the car he probably wouldnt be able to fit much bigger than 2.5" piping, but I asked him to put on the biggest he could get on there, I got it back and it has 3" piping on it, he said it fit, i figuered it would since lots of people have it on their cars. BUT MY CAR IS SOOOOOO QUITE NOW!!! It has a lil purr to it, and sounds good at high rpm's, doesnt sound like rice, sounds very interesting...I liked the deep powerfull sound it had when it was dumped, but at least now I can carry on a conversacion inside the cab....

Initially I wanted to go with borla style wich is 3" split into 2.5" into mufflers. But I got 3" all way back, and its all mandrel bent, it looks sweet as hell though with those pretty ass big chrome tips coming out of the cut-outs. Only thing i dont like is how quite it is, sounds good, but quiet.

Welcome to the custom exhaust club In Tennessee there aren't any emmissions testing, some haven't any cats or mufflers Let us know how you like the sound.

Sweet, plus im pretty fucking deaf to start with, so i probably just can't hear shit inside the cab anyway. All I know is when it was dumped, good lord, there was no mistaking when my car was coming, my folks said they could hear it me open it up several blocks away going down the street while they were in the house, it sounded kinda dirty though, but this sounds more reformed, kinda like expensive sports car purr to it. I do wish it was a little bit louder though.

But downpipe, and test pipe should fix that...

SWEET! I figuered to other cars and people it would be much louder, im just used to the dump being so loud since it was exiting almost directly under the car and most of the sound was entering the cab instead of outside of the car, but this is nice, sounds good and noticable in the cab, and it exit's to the outside of the vehicle, it purr's, sounds deep and throaty to other cars, and i could feel much better throttle response.
